Day 123: Test / Convert Customary Units

Today in Math 6, students in and 3° were administered their Graphical Representations posttest. Grades and comments will post by Sunday evening. 

In Math 6 students continued to work with Lesson 10.6: Convert Customary Units. Today, students were split into groups of four and were assigned a problem.  Then, they had to work together to solve the problem and post their answer to a dry erase board and hold up their response to the class.

During 7 °, students in Math 6+ were administered their Graphical Representations posttest. Grades and comments will post by Sunday evening. 

Today's Learning Targets: The student will be able to...
  • use ratio reasoning to convert measurement units. (2°)
  • manipulate and transform units appropriately when multiplying and dividing quantities. (2°)
  • display numerical data sets in plots on a number line, including dot plots, histograms, and box plots. (1 3, & 7°)
  • understand that statistics can be used to gain information about a populations by examining a sample of the population. (7°)
  • understand that random sampling tends to produce representative samples and support valid inferences. (7°)
For Evening Practice, the student is expected to...
  • 1 & 3° -
    • Have 75% of 6th Grade Khan Skills mastered by March 23rd.
  • 2° -
    • Have 75% of 6th Grade Khan Skills mastered by March 23rd.
  • 7° - 
    • Have 50% of 7th Grade Khan Skills mastered by March 23rd.
  • All Classes: Complete at least 10 minutes of work on Khan Academy to help review old content, practice new material, or front-load future concepts.
