Day 108: Mean and Median Puzzler / Quick Check / Mean and Median Puzzler

Today in Math 6: 1 & 3°, students worked with mean and median puzzler problems to help solidify their understanding of measures of center.  

During Math 6 - 2°, students completed a Quick Check dealing with equivalent ratios.  

Students in Math 6+ worked to generate values when given specifics about the measures of center and spread for a data set.

1. understand ratio concepts and use ratio reasoning to solve problems. (2°)
2. use ratio and rate reasoning to solve real-world and mathematical problems. (2°)
3. recognize that a measure of center for a numerical data set summarizes all of its values with a single number. (1, 3, & 7°)
4. describe how a measure of variation describes how its values vary with a single number. (1, 3, and 7°)
