Day 76: Similar Figures and Proportions / Graph Equations / Using Similar Figures

Today in Math 6: 1 & 3°, students worked with similar figures and using proportions to determine the missing side length for a figure given additional lengths.

During Math 6 - 2°, students moved into Lesson 5.4: Graph Equations.  In this lesson, students develop an understanding of linear relationships by analyzing them using multiple representations; tables, equations, and graphs.

Students in Math 6+ continued their work with similar figures from the previous day.

Today's Learning Target(s): The student will be able to...
  1. determine the missing side length of a figure using a proportion when comparing similar shapes.  (1, 3, and 7°)
  2. analyze the relationship between dependent and independent variables using graphs and tables. (2°)
  3. graph linear equations. (2°)
  4. use variables to represent two quantities in a real-world problem that change in relationship to one another.  (2°)
  5. determine with figures are proportional.  (7°)
  6. fluently add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers using the standard algorithm for each operation. (all classes)
