Day 77: Similar Figures / Graph Equations / Indirect Measurement

Today in Math 6: 1 & 3°, students continued worked with similar figures and using proportions to determine the missing side length for a figure when given additional lengths.

During Math 6 - 2°, students continued their work with Lesson 5.4: Graph Equations.   Today, students worked independently to analyze and complete function tables.  They then utilized those intercepts to graph the linear equations on a coordinate plane.

Students in Math 6+ continued their work with ratios and proportions by working with indirect measurement.

Today's Learning Target(s): The student will be able to...
  1. determine the missing side length of a figure using a proportion when comparing similar shapes.  (1, 3, and 7°)
  2. analyze the relationship between dependent and independent variables using graphs and tables. (2°)
  3. graph linear equations. (2°)
  4. use variables to represent two quantities in a real-world problem that change in relationship to one another.  (2°)
  5. determine whether figures are proportional.  (1 and 3°)
  6. recognize and represent proportional relationships between two quantities.  (7°)
  7. fluently add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers using the standard algorithm for each operation. (all classes)
