In Common Core Math Six today, students began class by completing a Socrative quiz that dealt with skills from Lesson 2.8: Translating Word Phrases.

During class, Mr. Giomini introduced Lesson 2.9: Combining Like Terms.  This lesson had new terminology such as: coefficient and like terms.  After some examples, students worked out of the textbook to complete numbers seven through seventeen.  Students collaborated with peers to compare and discuss answers.
