Class Topics: 09.11.14

In Common Core Math Six today, students began class with a Socrative quiz dealing with order of operations from yesterday's lesson while Mr. Giomini checked the Evening Practice from Wednesday night.  Lesson 2.4: Prime Factorization was introduced and modeled by Mr. Giomini.  Students then worked independently to complete numbers 41 - 55 with a colleague.  As students worked, Mr. Giomini circulated the room.

• compute fluently with multidigit numbers.
• determine the difference between prime and composite numbers.
• find the prime factorization of composite numbers.

For Evening Practice, the student is expected to...

• complete page ten from Chapter Two.
• complete Khan Skill: Order of Operations.
