Common Core Math Six students in 1° began class by completing another Socrative to help us with slope and slope-intercept form. Due to a class meeting during Advisory, Mr. Giomini allowed students to begin on their Evening Practice that is derived from yesterday's Lesson 12.7.
In 3°, students began Lesson 12.7: Rates of Change. The concepts of constant and varying rates of change were introduced, modeled, and discussed. Students were given class time to complete their Evening Practice.
In 4°, students reviewed the content from the Chapter Twelve Midpoint Quiz. Mr. Giomini had students work with Lesson 12.6: Nonlinear Functions.
Today's Learning Goals: The student will be able to...
- 1° -
- learn to identify nonlinear functions.
- determine rates changes by analyzing a table and graph.
- 2° -
- read an inequality.
- solve an inequality that involves addition and subtraction.
- graph an inequality.
- 3° -
- learn to identify nonlinear functions.
- determine rates changes by analyzing a table and graph.
- 4° -
- determine the slope of a line.
- interpret slope-intercept form.
- graph a line given one point, the y-intercept, and the slope.
For Evening Practice, the student is expected to...
- 1° -
- complete 1-17 and 21-29 on pages 634 and 635. (CLICK HERE)
- 2° -
- complete Lesson 11.5 handout from Mr. Giomini.
