Class Topics: 04.15.14

In Common Core Math Six today, students in 1 and 3° completed the Chapter Eleven Midpoint Quiz. Please look for an updated grade and comments on GBW tonight.    

Students in 2° continued work in two groups.  Mr. Giomini's group worked with Lesson 9.4: Surface Areas of Prisms, Cylinders, and Spheres.  Two new formulas were introduced and modeled for students to work with while in class.  During class, Mr. Giomini circulated the room and provided students with an answer key to help with understanding.

In Miss McGreer's group, students continued working with sets of data and how to calculate measures of central tendency.  The class also analyzed graphs.

During 4°, students reviewed last night's Evening Practice with Mr. Giomini.  Students then began their Evening Practice which linked story problems to creating and solving equations if preparation for Wednesday's Chapter Eleven Midpoint Quiz.
