Day 99: Math 6: Topic Six Post-test - Math 6+: Jeopardy

Students in Math 6 - 1° received their Topic Six Post-test back from Friday. The students performed well with the average student earning a 92%. 

Math 6 - 2 and 6° completed their Topic Six Post-test.

Math 6+ students played a little Jeopardy in preparation for Tuesday's Topic Post-test.

Skills that were introduced, modeled, practiced, and informally/formally assessed today in class include:
Math 6:

• Write equivalent values as fractions, decimals, and percents.
• Write fractions as decimals and percents when the denominator of the fraction is not 100.
• Find a percent of a quantity as a rate per 100 (e.g., 30% of a quantity means 30/100 times the quantity).
• Solve problems involving finding the whole, given a part and the percent.

Math 6+:

• Find a percent of a quantity as a rate per 100 (e.g., 30% of a quantity means 30/100 times the quantity). 
• Solve problems involving finding the whole, given a part and the percent.
• Use proportional relationships to solve multistep ratio and percent problems. Examples: simple interest, tax, markups and markdowns, gratuities and commissions, fees, percent increase and decrease, percent error. (7th Grade)
