Day 88: Math 6: Percents Less Than 1 and Greater Than 100 / Math 6+: Percent Change

Math 6 students worked with Lesson 6.3: Represent Percents Greater Than 100 or Less Than 1. Students learned that percents can exceed 100 such as 6/5 or 1.34. Percents like 0.25% were converted to their fractional and decimal equivalent.

  • Write equivalent values as fractions, decimals, and percents.
  • Write fractions as decimals and percents when the denominator of the fraction is not 100.
Math 6+:
  • Find a percent of a quantity as a rate per 100 (e.g., 30% of a quantity means 30/100 times the quantity).
  • Solve problems involving finding the whole, given a part and the percent.
