- A tractor trailer hauls a steel coil weighing 15 ton twice a day from the steel mill to a fabrication plant. Assuming the trucking company does this seven days a week, how many ounces of steel will the company haul in a decade?
Math 6:
- Use variables to represent two quantities in a real-world problem that change in relationship to one another.
- Analyze the relationship between the dependent and independent variables using graphs and tables, and relate these to the equation.
Math 6+:
- Use ratio reasoning to convert measurement units.
- Manipulate and transform units appropriately when multiplying or dividing quantities.
