Math 6 students worked with Lesson 4.10: Relate Tables, Graphs, and Equations. Students worked on analyzing the relationship between dependent and independent variables. We used our information from previous topics to help plot ordered pairs on the coordinate plane. Using this, we then connected the points to see if they created a linear equation.
Math 6+ students worked with solving proportions. Mr. Giomini began the class with a dimensional analysis question to help develop greater fluency. Cross-products were modeled and problems dealing with height and shadow length were modeled and discussed.

Standards addressed in today's lesson:
Math 6:
- Use variables to represent two quantities in a real-world problem that change in relationship to one another.
- Write an equation to express one quantity, thought of as the dependent variable, in terms of the other quantity, thought of as the independent variable.
- Analyze the relationship between the dependent and independent variables using graphs and tables, and relate these to the equation.
Math 6+:
- Recognize and represent proportional relationships between quantities.
- Compute unit rates associated with ratios of fractions, including ratios of lengths, areas and other quantities measured in like or different units.
