Day Ten: Dividing Fractions

Today in Math 6 students continued to work with Lesson 1.4: Dividing Fractions. More visual models were provided for the students today to provide a concrete representation of the algorithm used in class.

Students in Math 6+ continued their work with Lesson 1.4: Dividing Fractions. To stretch the concept, Mr. Giomini incorporated positive and negative fractions along with mixed numbers.

Essential understanding for Lesson 1.4:

• Visual models, such as number lines and area models, and equations can be used to represent and solve problems that involve division of fractions.
