Today in Math 6, students in 1° and 3° reviewed their work with reading, writing, and solving one-step algebraic equations. Mr. Giomini then had the students complete a Socrative quiz dealing with the concepts.
During Math 6 - 2°, Mr. Giomini reviewed 1.5 Practice Buddy with the class. He modeled how to read and solve the problems in an attempt to improve students' scores in the coming weeks. This served as a review for the 1.5 Quick Check that students then completed online.
Math 6+ students continued their work with writing and solving multistep equations. Mr. Giomini posted a problem for the students to solve independently and then students shared out with a colleague. Once answers were discussed, students completed a Socrative quiz that dealt with the week's concepts.
The remainder of class was given to students to complete their 30 minutes of required Khan in an attempt to have 50% of 6th content mastered within the next four plus weeks.
