Day 13: Quiz

All of Mr. Giomini's mathematics classes had a quiz today.  The hope is that all quizzes are graded and inputted into PowerSchool by Saturday evening.

Today's Learning Target(s): The student will be able to...
  1. identify parts of an expression using mathematical terms (sum, term, product, factor, quotient, coefficient).
  2. apply the properties of operations to generate equivalent expressions.
  3. identify when two expressions are equivalent (i.e., when the two expressions name the same number regardless of which value is substituted into them).
  4. use variables to represent numbers and write expressions when solving a real-world or mathematical problem.
  5. understand that a variable can represent an unknown number, or, depending on the purpose at hand, any number in a specified set.
For Weekend Practice, the student is expected to complete:
  1. Math 6: 40 minutes of Khan over long weekend
  2. Math 6 - 2°: 40 minutes of Khan over long weekend
  3. Math 6+: 40 minutes of Khan over long weekend
