Students in had a shorter period today due to an assembly.  In class, Mr. Giomini reviewed the previous night's Evening Practice and modeled solving equations with multiplication and division.
Today's Learning Goals: The student will be able to...
  • show what they know about:  (1, 3, and )
    • comparing, ordering, adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing integers.
    • graph and identify ordered pairs.
    • solve one-step equations with integers.
    • write decimals in expanded form.
    • write equivalent fractions, decimals, and mixed numbers.
    • recognize rational numbers.
  • isolate a variable to one side of an equation.  ()
  • solve equations using the inverse of multiplication and division.  ()
  • check answers to equations by substituting in a value.  ()
For Evening Practice, the student is expected to...
  • 1, 3, and -
    • complete numbers 11, 13, 14, 15, 20, 21, 26, and 29 on page 116.
