Class Topics: 10.01.13
In Common Core Math Six today, students in 1, 3, and 4° worked with Lesson 2.11: Solving Equations by Addition or Subtraction. Students as a whole did extremely well with this skill on the Chapter Two pretest leading Mr. Giomini to incorporate equations that utilized the distributive property and combining like terms in order to simplify and solve.
During 2°, students worked with one of the more challenging topics, Lesson 2.8: Translate Words into Math. In this lesson, students take word phrases and translate them into algebraic expressions.
