Class Topics: 09.05.12

In Math Six today, students completed Lesson 1.9 - Circle Graphs. Students began the class period by creating a line graph using data from last week's temperatures.  Mr. Giomini then took a Favorite Pizza Topping poll. He inputted the raw data into a frequency table and then converted the raw data into percents.  Students then created a circle graph from the Favorite Pizza Topping Data.

1. construct an appropriate circle graph for a given set of data.
2. convert information presented in a frequency table into fractions and percents.
3. label the appropriate parts for a circle graph.

In Pre-Algebra today, students completed their Chapter One Mid-Quiz in class.  Mr. Giomini provided a quick review of how to use the various skills from Chapter One Lesson 1-1 through 1-6.
