ReplyDeleteThe answer I got was 120,000 because I set up a proportion and put 8 over 100 and 9600 over a w because I didn't have another number for the bottom. I multiplied 9600 and 100 then divided 960000 by 8 and got 120,000.

ReplyDeleteI got a answer of 120,000. to get this i set up a porportion having 9600 over "x" and 8 over 100. Since all percents are out of 100. I cross producted to 9600 x 100 to get 960000 then you divide that by 8. That gives you 120000.

2-9600-768=8832
The reason I subtracted 768 from 9600 is because 768 is just the discount, and not the sales.

I got the answer of 120000. Well at first I was confused but then I read the question again, and I heard the commission is (or =) 8% of the sales which we don't know what the sales is. So I did the commission which is 9600/0.08(or 8%)and that equals 120000. The way I checked this was by multiplying 0.08 * 120000= 9600
