Class Topics: 01.04.12

In EDM, students completed their Unit Five Formative Pretest.  The title for this unit is: Geometry: Congruence, Constructions and Parallel Lines.  Throughout the unit, students will work with protractors and straightedges to construct various illustrations.  Professions that incorporate the skills assessed in this unit include: engineer, architect, astronomer, city planner, electrician, construction worker, carpenter, cabinet maker, surgeon, navigational system operator, computer game engineer and several others.

      • classifying and describing two and three-dimensional figures using their properties
      • using standard geometric language/vocabulary
      • identifying and defining relationships between planes
      • predicting and describing transformations
      • drawing similar figures that model proportional reasoning

  • complete MJ 164 and MB 5.1 - don't do numbers one and two on the Math Box
