Day 116: Surface Area of Pyramids
In Math 6 and Math 6+ classes, students were finally able to get to Lesson 7.7: Surface Area of Pyramids. Mr. Giomini spent time modeling and discussing the formula using nets in an attempt for students to truly understand the rationale behind the formula's implementation. Today's lesson objective(s):
Represent three-dimensional figures using nets made up of rectangles and triangles.
Use the nets to find the surface area of these figures.
Apply these techniques in the context of solving real-world and mathematical problems.
