Day 106: Area of Kites
Students in Math 6 and Math 6+ finished Lesson 7.3: Area of Trapezoids and Kites. We discussed and modeled the formula for calculating the area of a kite. The students the completed an online five question quiz dealing with the area of trapezoids and kites. Mr. Giomini recommended videos through Pearson that students could access during the quiz to assist them in completing the task.
Lesson Objective(s):
Find the area of right triangles, other triangles, special quadrilaterals, and polygons by composing into rectangles or decomposing into triangles and other shapes
Apply these techniques in the context of solving real-world and mathematical problems.
