Today in Math 6 - 1 & 3°, students worked with multiplying and dividing integers.
During Math 6 - 2°, students reviewed their results on the Topic One posttest.
Students in Math 6+, solved equations with integers.
Today's Learning Target(s): The student will be able to...
- understand subtraction of rational numbers as adding the additive inverse, p - q - p + (-q). (1 and 3°)
- evaluate expressions at specific values of their variables. (2°)
- understand p + q as the number located a distance away from the absolute vale q from p, in the positive or negative direction depending on whether q is positive or negative. (1 and 3°)
- apply and extend previous understandings of multiplication and division to include integers. (7°)
- fluently add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers using the standard algorithm for each operation. (all classes)
For Evening Practice, the student is expected to complete:
- Math 6 - 1 & 3: Pages 16 and 27
- Math 6 - 2°: No enVision pages
- Math 6+: Digital handout numbers 44 - 55 (CLICK HERE)
- All Classes: m > 10 minutes meaningful practice at Khan Academy
