Class Topics: 10.27.14

In Common Core Math Six today, students checked their Weekend Practice with an answer key provided by Mr. Giomini.  Lesson 4.4: Dividing Decimals by Integers  was introduced, modeled, and practiced in class.  Students were challenged to showing dividing decimals using graphing paper.

Based on the previous three lessons, it is apparent that students have worked with dividing decimals in the past.  A Socrative was administered for a quiz grade at the conclusion of class that dealt with dividing decimals by integers.

Today's Learning Goals: The student will be able to...

• compute fluently with multi-digit numbers.  
• apply and extend previous knowledge with division.

For Evening Practice, the student is expected to...

• complete page 13 and 14 in Chapter Four.
• complete Khan Skill: Dividing Completely.
