Class Topics: 10.22.14

In Common Core Math Six today, students began Chapter Four: Operations with Rational Numbers.  Mr. Giomini introduced Lesson 4.1: Estimating with Decimals.  This lesson provides a nice foundation for the remainder of the chapter modeling how students can have a "ballpark" answer for their problems supplying them with better number sense.

• compute fluently with multi-digit numbers.
• apply and extend previous understanding of multiplication and division.

• complete page four(even) and five in Chapter Four.
