Class Topics: 10.16.14

In Common Core Math Six today, students checked their Evening Practice, page 37, with an answer key provided by Mr. Giomini.  Students then worked on a Kahoot to help with test preparation for Monday's Chapter Three Posttest.

Today's Learning Targets: The student will be able to...
  • understand that positive and negative numbers are used together to describe quantities having opposite directions or values.
  • use positive and negative numbers to represent quantities in real-world contexts, explaining the meaning of 0 in each situation.

  • understand ordering and absolute value of rational numbers.
  • compare fractions with unlike fractions.  
  • order fraction from least to greatest.
  • convert fractions to decimals.  
  • convert decimals to fractions.
