Class Topics: 09.19.14

In Common Core Math Six today, students reviewed the class results from the Chapter Two Midpoint Quiz.  Pictured below is a box-and-whisker plot depicting the overall results for all 100+ students on Team 6B.

Lesson 2.8: Translate Words into Math was introduced and modeled by Mr. Giomini.  Students worked with translating words phrases such as Four fewer than the product of eight and some number into 8y - 4.  Mr. Giomini introduced a chart similar to the one pictured below to help with the student's acquisition of the new skill.
