In Common Core Math Six, students in 1 and 3° continued their work in Chapter Twelve: Functions and Graphing. Mr. Giomini reviewed the Weekend Practice before moving into Lesson 12.3: Interpreting Graphs.
Determine the domain and range of the graph.
Give a situation that this graph might model.
During 2° students were introduced to Lesson 11.2: Solving Multistep Equations. This lesson allowed us to build upon Friday's lesson with solving two-step equations.
Students in 4° had Mr. Giomini briefly review Lesson 12.1: Introduction to Functions before introducing, modeling, and practicing Lesson 12.2: Find a Pattern in Sequences.
This lesson helped us with seeing a pattern and understanding that a list of numbers can follow a pattern with the numbers in the sequence being the output values of a function.
- 1 and 3° -
- analyze the labels on a graph.
- relate graphs to situations.
- 2° -
- identify the variable in an equation.
- identify the different operations in an equation.
- solve multistep equations.
- 4° -
- find patterns to complete sequences using function tables.
For Evening Practice, the student is expected to...
- 1 and 3° -
- complete questions 1 - 16 and 19 - 25 on pages 614 and 615. (CLICK HERE)
- 2° -
- complete questions 1 - 7 and 20 on page 566. (CLICK HERE)
- 4° -
- complete questions 6 - 15 on textbook page 610. (CLICK HERE)
