Students in 2° received their Chapter Six Pretest results in class today. Mr. Giomini reviewed the Evening Practice from Lesson 6.1: Fractions, Decimals, and Percents. After ironing out any confusion, class progressed to Lesson 6.2: Estimate with Percents. The focus of this lesson was finding 1 and 10% of a number to help make estimating easier. Questions that were asked in class include:
- 3% of 59 is about what? What can I do with both numbers to make them easier to work with?
- 18% of 45 is about what? What can I do with 18 and 45 to help me make my estimate?
- 1, 3, and 4° -

- determine the difference between a polygon and regular polygon.

- converting between fractions, decimals, and percents.
