Class Topics: 02.05.14

In Common Core Math Six, students in 1, 3, and  reviewed the Evening Practice from Lesson 7.2 and 7.3.  Students then completed the first of two Chapter Seven quizzes.  Assessments were graded discussed and graded in class.  Mr. Giomini then introduced Lesson 7.4: Circles.  Terms that were introduced and defined in this lesson include: circle, center of a circle, radius, diameter, chord, arc, central angle, and sector.  Students learned these terms by using the Quizlet App on the iPods.

Circle C2 is inscribed in a square, and Square S2 is perfectly inscribed within
Circle C1.  The area of Circle C1 is what percent greater that the 
area of Circle C2?


Students in completed the Chapter Six Pretest.
