Class Topics: 01.21.14

In Common Core Math Six during 1, 3, and , students practiced and worked with Lesson 6.6: Simple Interest.  This lesson used the formula I = P * r * t to help solve problems similar to the one below.

Harry deposits $45,000 into a saving account.  After one year,
4 months, and 20 days it totals $52,500.  Calculate the simple
interest rate for this account.

  •  1, 3, and 4° -
    • use a formula to calculate simple interest.
    • analyze story problems for information.
  •  -
    • express ratios in three different forms.
      • a:b
      • a to b
      • a/b
