Class Topics: 09.19.13

In Common Core Math Six today, students in 1, 3, and discussed last night's evening practice with their chapter partner before class began.  Mr. Giomini then introduced Lesson 2.3 -Order of Operations with Flocabulary's Order of Operations rap posted below to begin springboard us into PEMDAS.  Once students practiced with a colleague, Mr. Giomini split the class into six teams.  He posted different valued questions on the board and the team that earned 20 points first was declared the winner.

Students in worked with Lesson 2.1 - Exponents.  During this lesson, students learned how to take extremely large or small numbers and present them in a more user friendly manner.
