Class Topics: 09.19.13
In Common Core Math Six today, students in 1, 3, and 4° discussed last night's evening practice with their chapter partner before class began. Mr. Giomini then introduced Lesson 2.3 -Order of Operations with Flocabulary's Order of Operations rap posted below to begin springboard us into PEMDAS. Once students practiced with a colleague, Mr. Giomini split the class into six teams. He posted different valued questions on the board and the team that earned 20 points first was declared the winner.
Students in 2° worked with Lesson 2.1 - Exponents. During this lesson, students learned how to take extremely large or small numbers and present them in a more user friendly manner.
