Class Topics: 09.10.13

In Common Core Math Six today, students in 1, 3, and 4° spent some time with reviewing scatter plots from Lesson 1.8 before moving into the Lesson 1.9 - Misleading Graphs.  Mr. Giomini spent some time discussing study techniques to help students prepare for Thursday's Chapter One posttest.

During 2°, students discussed quiz results and moved into Lesson 1.8 - Scatter Plots.  Students were introduced to the lesson by using data from the class to help with finding a correlation between two sets of data: quiz score and height.
Today's Learning Targets: The student will be able to...

• analyze graphs for misleading information.
• determine whether there is a positive, negative, or no correlation between information.
• construct a scatter plot with appropriate labels and title.

• 1, 3, and 4° - complete Lesson 1.9 Practice and Problem Solving.
• 2° - make corrections to pretest and quiz.
