Day 107: Understand Percents

Students in Math 6 worked with representing and finding the percent of a whole. Much of today's lesson dealt with working with whole numbers that were "friendly" with 100. This allowed us to connect skills from our last topic of study, ratios, with our new topic of percents.

Math 6+ students worked with relating fractions, decimals, and percents.We used percent circles and tape diagrams to assist us in our visual understanding of the concept.
