Day 68: Math 6 - Graphing Ratios / Math 6+ - Reviewing Ratios and Proportions

Math 6 students worked with Lesson 5.4: Represent and Graph Ratios. In this lesson, we built upon skills from Topic Two with coordinate planes and merged that knowledge with our current understanding of ratios. Students practiced this skill both independently and with a colleague.

• Fluently divide multi-digit numbers using the standard algorithm.
• Understand the concept of a ratio and use ratio language to describe a ratio relationship between two quantities. 
• Understand the concept of a unit rate a/b associated with a ratio a:b with b ≠ 0, and use rate language in the context of a ratio relationship. 
• Make tables of equivalent ratios relating quantities with whole-number measurements.

Math 6+:

• Fluently divide multi-digit numbers using the standard algorithm.
• Solve problems involving scale drawings of geometric figures, including computing actual lengths and areas from a scale drawing and reproducing a scale drawing at a different scale. (Gr. Seven)
