Day 33: Order of Operations

Today in Math 6 and Math 6+, students began Lesson 3.3: Write and Evaluate Numerical Expressions. Students were asked to use order of operations to evaluate various numerical expressions.

In order to be successful with today's skill, students needed to be fluent with their math facts as well as having a solid foundation with exponents, fractions, and decimals.

Lesson Objectives: The student will be able to...
  • fluently add, subtract, multiply, and divide multi-digit decimals using the standard algorithm for each operation.
  • find the greatest common factor of two whole numbers less than or equal to 100 and the least common multiple of two whole numbers less than or equal to 12.
