Day 16: Topic One Test Review - Challenge Day

Today in Math 6 students received their Topic One Posttest back from Mr. Giomini. Time was spent on analyzing common mistakes as well as celebrating successes. Once that was completed, Mr. Giomini shared a Google Form with the students that they are to complete regarding their performance on the posttest.

Quizlet Live was introduced to the students to help with Topic Two: Integers and Rational Numbers vocabulary. During this topic, two vocabulary quizzes are going to be administered; today was just a way to introduce the new terms and get an idea of what prior knowledge students have with the terms.

Students in Math 6+ received their Topic One Posttest back from Mr. Giomini. Questions were clarified regarding common mistakes and also grading concerns. Mr. Giomini then had students compete in their first Challenge Day. Random questions are given to students in teams and they have to collaboratively work together in order to attempt to solve them. All answers are checked by Mr. Giomini for accuracy. The team with the most correct wins.
