Day 165: Learwood Visit / Writing, Solving, and Graphing Inequalities / Systems of Equations

Today during 1 and 2°, students visited Learwood Middle School as they prepare for their future.

In 3° Math 6, students worked on different activities depending on their current level of understanding of inequalities.  Some students continued to receive support for solving and graphing inequalities while others worked to write, solve, and graph inequalities from real-world story problems.

Students in 7° Math 6+ practiced more with systems of equations.

Today's Learning Targets: The student will be able to...
  • understand solving an equation or inequality as a process of answering a question. (1, 3, and 7°)
  • use substitution to determine whether a given number makes an equation or inequality true. ( 7°)
  • find the volume and surface area of a right rectangular prism. (2°)
For Evening Practice, the student is expected to...
  • 1 and 3° -
    • Have 100% of 6th Grade Khan Skills mastered by May 27th.
  • 2° -
    • Have 100% of 6th Grade Khan Skills mastered by May 27th.
    • 7° -
      • Have 100% of 7th Grade Khan Skills mastered by May 27th.
    • All Classes: Complete at least 10 minutes of work on Khan Academy to help review old content, practice new material, or front-load future concepts.
