In Math 6 during 2°, students viewed the video below to help create nets from three-dimensional drawings. Once the net was constructed, students began to label the dimensions of the two-dimensional shapes and calculate their area. By combining all of the areas, students were able to calculate the surface area for the entire three-dimensional shape.
Today's Learning Targets: The student will be able to...
- understand solving an equation or inequality as a process of answering a question. (1, 3, and 7°)
- use substitution to determine whether a given number makes an equation or inequality true. (1, 3, and 7°)
- find the surface area of a right rectangular prism. (2°)
For Evening Practice, the student is expected to...
- 1 and 3° -
- Handout from teacher.
- Have 100% of 6th Grade Khan Skills mastered by May 27th.
- 2° -
- Homework and Practice Buddy 14.1.
- Have 100% of 6th Grade Khan Skills mastered by May 27th.
- 7° -
- Handout from teacher.
- Have 100% of 7th Grade Khan Skills mastered by May 27th.
- All Classes: Complete at least 10 minutes of work on Khan Academy to help review old content, practice new material, or front-load future concepts.
