Day 157: Posttest / Surface Area / Test Discussion

Today in 1 and 3°, students were administered the Volume and Surface Area posttest.  
  

In Math 6 during 2°, students worked with nets of three-dimensional shapes in an attempt to introduce the concept of surface area.

During Math 6+, students went over the previous day's Volume and Surface Area posttest.  Mr. Giomini then allowed students the remainder of class to work on Khan skills.  

Today's Learning Targets: The student will be able to...

• find the surface area of a right rectangular prism with fractional edge lengths. (1, 2, and 3°)
• solve real-world and mathematical problems involving area, volume, and surface area of two-and three-dimensional objects, - 7th grade (7°)
• know the formulas for the volumes of cones, cylinders, and spheres and use them to solve real-world and mathematical problems. - 8th grade (7°)

• 1 and 3° -
• Have 100% of 6th Grade Khan Skills mastered by May 27th.
• 2° -
• Complete page 715.
• Have 100% of 6th Grade Khan Skills mastered by May 27th.
• 7° -
• Have 100% of 7th Grade Khan Skills mastered by May 27th.
• All Classes: Complete at least 10 minutes of work on Khan Academy to help review old content, practice new material, or front-load future concepts.
