Day 66: Gizmo on Ratios / Test Results and Discussion / Challenge Day

Today in Math 6: 1 & 3°, students were introduced to Concept Four: Rates, Ratios, and Proportions using a Gizmo: Part-to-part and Part-to-whole.

During Math 6 - 2°, students reviewed the results from the Topic Four: Algebra - Coordinate Geometry posttest from yesterday.  Mr. Giomini also shared with students the next topic of study as well as the Khan skill that correlate with that topic.    

Students in Math 6+ reviewed the results from yesterday's Concept Three: Operations with Rational Numbers posttest.  Mr. Giomini then assigned students a Challenge Day handout to complete independently.  

Today's Learning Target(s): The student will be able to...

1. understand the concept of a ratio. (1 and 3°)   
2. use ratio language to describe a ratio relationship between to quantities. (1 and 3°)    
3. analyze the relationship between dependent and independent variables. (2°)   
4. fluently add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers using the standard algorithm for each operation. (all classes)

For Evening Practice, the student is expected to complete:

1. Math 6(1&3): Enjoy night off
2. Math 6(2): Enjoy night off
3. Math 6+: Enjoy night off
4. All Classes: m > 10 minutes meaningful practice at Khan Academy
