Day 65: Challenge Day / Topic Four Posttest / Test Continuation

Today in Math 6: 1 & 3°, students worked on their first ever Challenge Day.  Problems and partners were given to students to work on during the class period.  

During Math 6 - 2°, students completed the Topic Four: Algebra - Coordinate Geometry posttest.  

Students in Math 6+ continued their Concept Three: Operations with Rational Numbers posttest from last Friday.  

Today's Learning Target(s): The student will be able to...

1. solve real-world and mathematical problems by writing and solving equations.  (1, 3, & 7°)
2. interpret and compute quotients of fractions. (1, 3, & 7°)
3. solve word problems involving division of fractions by fractions. (1, 3, & 7°)
4. fluently add, subtract, multiply, and divide multi-digit decimals using the standard algorithm for each operation.  (1, 3, & 7°)  
5. apply and extend previous understandings of numbers to the system of rational numbers. (2°)   
6. identify and graph points with integer coordinates on the coordinate plane. (2°)  
7. draw polygons in the coordinate plane given coordinates for the vertices. (2°) 
8. use coordinates to find the length of a side joining points with the same first or second coordinate. (2°)   
9. fluently add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers using the standard algorithm for each operation. (all classes)

For Evening Practice, the student is expected to complete:

1. Math 6(1&3): Enjoy night off
2. Math 6(2): Enjoy night off
3. Math 6+: Enjoy night off
4. All Classes: m > 10 minutes meaningful practice at Khan Academy
