Day One: Meeting Mr. Giomini

Students in Math 6 and Math 6+ were involved in grade level and team building activities for the first part of the morning.

Mr. Giomini was able to meet with all of his classes during the second portion of the day.  The class syllabus was discussed with each class.  Questions were answered regarding class procedures, assessments, Khan Academy, and other inquires.

Students logged into their Avon Lake Google student accounts and then accessed Khan Academy. The expectation was that all students assign Mr. Giomini as their Khan Academy coach for the 2015 - 2016 school year.

Today's Learning Target(s): The student will be able to...

1. assign Mr. Giomini as their Khan Coach.
2. complete the 6th grade pretest if not done previously.

For Evening Practice, the student can...

1. complete ten minutes of meaningful practice on Khan Academy.  (Students were given an opportunity to complete the Evening Practice in class if time permitted.)
2. fill out an index card for Mr. Giomini with parent's email address.
