In Math Six, students continued their work in Part Eight - Volume and Surface Area by completing a Quick Check dealing with finding surface for a three-dimensional shape.

Students were arranged into groups of three to complete questions that dealt with both volume and surface area.  Once answers were checked by Mr. Giomini, students were allowed to begin on their evening practice.

1. represent three-dimensional figures using nets made up of rectangles and triangles.
2. use the nets to find the surface area of these figures.
3. find the volume of a right rectangular prism with fractional edge lengths.
