Class Topics: 03.27.15

In Math Six, students continued their work in Part Eight - Volume and Surface Area by completing a Quick Check dealing with finding surface for a net.

During 2 and 3°, Mr. Giomini modeled the weekend's Khan Skill dealing with surface area.  The remainder of class, students worked to complete the Khan Skill: Surface Area and complete a portion of their 45 minutes of meaningful practice for the weekend.

Students who are in 4 and 7° worked independently to complete a six question Socrative that dealt with volume and surface area.  The remainder of class was allocated to completing this weekend's Khan Skill and 45 minutes of meaningful practice.

1. represent three-dimensional figures using nets made up of rectangles and triangles.
2. use the nets to find the surface area of these figures.
3. find the volume of a right rectangular prism with fractional edge lengths.
