Class Topics: 10.10.13

In Common Core Math Six, students in 1, 3, and  reviewed last night's Evening Practice with answer keys provided by Mr. Giomini and the different quadrants on a coordinate grid.  Students in 1 and discussed the previous days Haiti activity and how to decide which quadrant should receive immediate relief due to cholera outbreaks.  The second part of the activity was explained to the students and completed the tasks with their colleague.

Students in broke into two groups, one with Mr. Giomini and one with Miss House to work on various stages of the Haiti project.

During students began the first day of their Chapter Two posttest.
Today's Learning Goals: The student will be able to...
  • plot points on a coordinate plane.
  • provide the appropriate ordered pair for a specific location.
  • use appropriate mathematical terminology when speaking about coordinate planes.
For Evening Practice, the student is expected to...
  • 1, 3, and -
    • review for day two of the assessment.
