In Math Six today, Mr. Giomini reviewed some of the Khan skills from this weekend.  Once that was complete, students were administered Probe IV.  We have taken three probes leading into this one and they didn't count against the students' grades; today's will.

For Evening Practice, students are expected to...

1. complete the handout on probability given in class.

In Pre-Algebra today, students reviewed the Weekend Practice with Mr. Giomini.  Once that was complete, students worked with Lesson 9.6 - Permutations and Combinations.  Earlier in the unit students were introduced to this lesson, but today the focus was on determining which formula, the one for permutations or combinations, was applicable to various story problems.

1. utilize the formula for permutations and combinations to solve story problems.
2. apply the appropriate formula to specific situations.

1. answer questions 5 - 16 and 33 - 40 on pages 474 and 475.
