Class Topics: 12.14.12

In Math Six today, students worked with a peer to generate a list of prime factors from multiple numbers.  They then used the Greatest Common Factor to divide the different items into equal groups.

  1. list the prime factors for a number.
  2. determine the Greatest Common Factor for multiple numbers by looking at their prime factorization.
  3. create a poster that illustrates their calculations.

In Pre-Algebra today, students worked to complete an application review of several of the skills practiced in Chapter Five.  Recall that the Chapter Five Summative Posttest will fall on Tuesday, December 18th.

  1. identify parallel and perpendicular lines in Maryland's state flag.
  2. determine the different instances of symmetry in Maryland's state flag.
  3. calculate the missing angle sum in a two-dimensional drawing.
