Class Topics: 11.19.12

In Math Six today, students completed their Chapter One Pre-Algebra assessment that was begun on Friday.  Of the ones that I have graded, I am seeing nice progress.
Today's Learning Goals: The student will be able to...
  1. evaluate expressions for given values.
  2. solve one and two-step algebraic equations with addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  3. solve and graph inequalities.
  4. simplify algebraic expressions and equations by implementing the distributive property when needed.
  5. determine if an ordered pair is a solution to an equation.
  6. graph points on a coordinate plane.
For Evening Practice, it is suggested that the student...
  1. check Gradebook Wizard for their updated grade and comments.
  2. complete the Retake Procedure Form if that is something they desire.
In Pre-Algebra today, students completed their Chapter Four midpoint quiz.  
Today's Learning Goals: The student will be able to...
  1. analyze data for possible outliers.
  2. organize data by constructing a box-and-whisker plot.
  3. determine the different measures of variability and central tendency.
For Evening Practice, it is suggested that the student...
  1. check Gradebook Wizard for their updated grade and comments.
  2. complete any Khan skills that are not up to date.
