In Pre-Algebra today, students received back their Chapter Two Formative Pretest from last Friday. Students explained what they noticed about adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing integers from four of the Khan Skills from last week and over the weekend.
Mr. Giomini then modeled how to both add and subtract integers. These two skills are addressed in Lesson 2-1 and 2-2 in the Pre-Algebra textbook. Once modeling was completed, students used Active Expressions to practice their integer skills. During the activity, Mr. Giomini was able to clarify student misconceptions.
